I love my bedroom. It is my sanctuary. It’s a really small space…we actually gave the biggest bedroom to my three sons that all share a room and My Better Half and I took the smaller room.
Decorating the walls in here hasn’t really been a priority so when Cutting Edge Stencils gave me the opportunity to try out some of their stencils, I jumped on the opportunity to decorate the walls with paint.
I haven’t done a decorative stencil in over 10 years so I was a little nervous but it was not at all difficult.
I had to put a fresh coat of paint on the wall above my bed before I stenciled, so I did these little walls first and then moved on to the wall above my bed.
I used the same Virginia Creeper stencil and paint that I used on the previous walls.
Next, I waited until the first layer dried, moved the stencil a bit, and painted a darker color.
I was thrilled with this process from start to finish. The selection of stencils was plentiful…choosing the one I wanted was really the hardest part of the process. The stencils came quickly and with a few little extra stencils in the box. They were packaged nicely so as not to cause any damage during shipping. The instructions were very clear and helpful. And the result…{LOVE IT}.
