Front Porch Redo

Maintenance is a necessity for any homeowner and our home is certainly no different.  Our front porch was getting pretty shabby.  So we tore out our old porch and made it new!!

This is how the process went…

We used some recycled lumber several year ago to cover up the nasty brick walkway and porch.

But the recycled lumber has lived its last life.

It was time for a major overhaul.

The kids and I did all the digging out.  We had to deal with an old drain pipe.  It wasn’t attached to anything so we tore it out and leveled our ground with sand.

Then My Better Half poured concrete steps and laid pavers, mortaring them in place as he went.

After he got all the pavers in place and they were set, he poured mortar mix in between the pavers and sprayed them down.

It’s all finished now and {I LOVE IT}!  It’s super sturdy and looks so nice.

I LOVE it when a project gets completed and looks sooo good!!
Blessings,

We have brick walkway and there are all grass weeds growing between the bricks. I don't know if we should pour concrete to seal up the gap.

    Nice job!
