I don’t know about you, but this time of year always freaks me out a bit! School started in our area today and our church bulletin yesterday was filled with activities that are starting in the weeks ahead. Now, when you throw in all the extra things like sports, jobs, physicals and dentist appointments (that were supposed to be done this summer, but instead I was laying by the pool) then factor in all the fun things that you didn’t get around to this Summer that you are going to try to fit in before the snow flies…
YIKES!!
Anyway, the last thing you need to worry about it making dinner! But since you have to feed all the mouths in your house, I’ve got a simple dinner that will be easy and delicious!!
Prior to making this chicken, I wasn’t a big “dark-meat” kinda gal. But now…YUM! My mouth is watering! I’m making this for dinner again tonight. Once cooked, the meat is just falling off the bone, tender delicious goodness!!
The best part about this recipe is that all you need is 3-5 pounds of chicken legs, thighs, or a little of both and a bottle of your favorite marinade or BBQ sauce. I’ve made this chicken with marinade and BBQ sauce and it is equally delicious with either!!
Just throw your meat in the crock pot (frozen) and pour the BBQ sauce or marinade right over it. Cook on high for 5-6 hours. After it’s cooked, there will be a lot of liquid in your crock pot. Just take the chicken out and serve with your favorite sides.
So, give this a shot. I’m pretty certain it will become a favorite on your meal plan!!
Enjoy!!

This looks like something that even I can make. I am enjoying your blog, as my wife is pregnant with our third child, its helpful for me to get ideas to feed us during the first week of the newborn being here. My job as an seo doesn’t really allow me a lot of time away from the computer, so if I can break away from google for a few minutes and get dinner in the crockpot it will be a big help!
