I’m so thankful for Organizing Junkie and her 52 Weeks of Organizing. I’ve only participated the past few weeks but have made some pretty impressive progress around the house.
As promised, I worked diligently this week on my stockpile and my scrapbook area. I made great progress and am proud to show you the pictures.
This is my stockpile… the overflow of my kitchen cabinets…the result of practical couponing. It was getting so overloaded and unorganized that I couldn’t even put my groceries away. So, it was desperately needing my attention.
As you can see, I fit everything on the shelves. It just needed some tender loving care.
This is my scrapbook area. I work on all my crafts and little projects here so it gets messy very easily.
Why don’t I just put stuff away after I use it?
I’m trying to teach my kids this but I obviously haven’t mastered it myself!
So, I worked really hard and got it all back together and organized.
TA DAAAA!!! Isn’t it beautiful??
Doesn’t it make you want to scrapbook?
I do have to be honest however and say, it is probably a good thing this is not a panoramic view because my scrapbook area is in my school room and my school room looks like, well, much like my scrapbook area looked before I cleaned and organized!!
So, that’s my project for next week. I’m gonna tackle the school room. Our school year isn’t over yet but we’re getting down to the wire. It sure would be nice to at least end the year with an organized room.

OOOO!!! I’m inspired to make a modest attempt in my sewing studio/office… I love the shelving/work top unit? Is it custom made? That would be SO perfect for me! If I could pare down some of my stuff… 🙂 Good work!

Thanks for the kind comments. My husband did build my scrapbook area. He surprised me one week I was away at my mom’s house. It was literally a nasty hole in the wall when we moved in. Wish I had pictures! We bought one of those metal closet shelving units from Home Depot and just modified it for the top unit. The bottom is just some melamine scraps.
