I love summer. I’m so eager for the official start next week…thankfully, the summer-like weather has given opportunities to be out working in the yard already. I really enjoy working in my flower beds and vegetable garden. Their beauty is so rewarding.
I have great success with clematis. They seem to really like the soil in my yard and grow like crazy. This is the one growing up the back of my deck. It has grown up 11 feet and now is wrapping itself over the top of the deck.
This winter was particularly harsh and the weight of the snow tore down my old little lattice trellis which was home to other clematis in my yard. So my Better Half built me this incredible beauty for them to have something to hang on to.
He used all recycled lumber and so the only expense was a box of screws costing $6.00.
I love the job he did. He just looked at a picture and copied it. He is such a talented guy!!
Here are a few other shots from my backyard.
Such a beautiful garden! I love it! The trellis is lovely. And those birdhouses–great color!
Great trellis! But I must admit that snake picture is a little freaky!
Love the trellis! But I must agree with Julie above…snake, FREAKY!!
Blessings!!
Cute garden. I love the potting bench and tellis. These remind me of my Aunt and Uncle because they are always making stuff for their garden out of things they find.
