Back in May my son broke his leg. We have been dealing with surgery, doctor appointments, nursing him back to being independent, and now getting his leg back to full health. So, our recent projects have not been extreme but simple and inexpensive. Sometimes those are the best ones, right?
My sister gave me a broken bunk bed a while back and with all the inspiration in blog land I have plenty ideas to make the bed parts little masterpieces.
This is the head and foot board of the bed. Can you guess where we are going with this?? Well, that’s another post but I bet you can guess. We haven’t quite finished it yet but I’ll give you one more hint.
I can’t wait to get it finished and show you the results. But for now, I’ll show you what I did with the ladder that came with the bunk bed. I was given some beautiful flowers and needed a way to display them. So, I just left the ladder how it was and put the flowers on it.
They now add some color to my deck in a fun creative way. The best part is…it was all FREE.
I love using ladders for decoration. Looks great.

What a great way to display those beautiful flowers! I love repurposing things that get broken or are otherwise past their regular usefulness.

What a cute and cheap way to add some height in beautiful flowers. Now I’m trying to think of what I could put some flower pots on so they aren’t all sitting on the ground.
