We have been the recipient of several loads of used lumber and are always eager to figure out how we will use it.
My Better Half is really good at making something amazing out of nothing. That’s what he did when he built this camouflage tree house using recycled lumber. The total cost of the tree house was under $10 (for screws and spray paint).
Pounding nails out of recycled lumber has become one of my kids least favorite jobs.
But they have enjoyed the end results!!
The boys have learned to work along side their father and are beginning to be pretty handy for themselves.
The boys decided to spray paint the tree house camouflage but the walnut tree does a pretty good job camouflaging it on its own.

What a great project for father and sons! I am so glad treehouses are still being built.

That is awesome. It’s a shame we don’t have a good tree in our yard to do the same. Maybe one day…

Such a cool thing. Not only will your boys have memories from playing in the tree house, but they’ll have memories of helping to build it. Thanks for sharing!
