I am ALWAYS on the look out for a bargain, a deal, a freebie. I love to scour the grocery, thrift stores, bread stores, ReStores, garage sales, and of course curb sides for something that I can’t live without…for the right price of course. This week will begin a weekly Wednesday post entitled – Wednesday’s What I Found. The post will consist of some amazing deal, curbside find, or other awesomeness I just have to show you.
This week’s find was unbelievable!! Like I told you in my geocaching post…I was in WV this past week and visited a thrift store near my parent’s house. They live in a very rural part of WV and so I’m always amazed at the thrift store there. This time when I went, they were having a “Fill a Bag for $1” sale. They were trying to get rid of the Summer clothes to restock for Winter. I caught the tail end of the two week sale. At first I wished I had been there earlier but then figured I would need a bigger car or new husband! 🙂
I ended up getting:
11 pairs of shoes
8 purses/bags
7 pairs of pants
2 skirts
46 shirts
2 dresses
2 undergarments
18 baby clothes (for dolls)
2 books
1 CD
5 toys
1 hat
One of the dresses was a bridesmaid dress and most of the shoes were for my princess’ dress up box. One of the books was a teen Bible and the other was an Abeka 1st grade History Reader (which I needed!!). The CD was Apologia Biology (if you are a homeschooler you will appreciate that one!) Many of the clothes were Old Navy, Aeropostle, Polo, Nieman Marcus, Gap, and other name brands.
All of this for the GRAND TOTAL OF $12

WOW!! I saw some Rod & Staff books at our thrift store once , but they were $2 and $3 each. What a great deal on the Apologia.

HOW fun!!! That is a great way for the store to clear out for the next season! I am always thrilled when the one around the corner from me has half off the entire store and they do it about once a month!
