I have been on the look out for some new pillows for my couch. I had looked longingly at many stores but couldn’t justify paying anywhere from $6 to $20 per pillow. There are some beautiful pillows out there but I just don’t think they are worth the price. I covered a few pillows using cloth napkins and those added some color but I still kept my eyes open for more.
I came across pillows at Dollar General for $6. That was the best deal I was able to find and I was still too cheap to give in to that price. BUT THEN, my day came. I was at Dollar General and happened to notice that they had their summer things 75% off and it looked like the pillows were “Back to School” items. Really?? So, My Better Half took one to the register and sure enough they were 75% off making them $1.50 each!!!
I bought all they had…8 pillows for $12. CRAZY!!!! I was SOOOOO excited and they add to my fall decor beautifully!! Pretty great deal huh??!!
I’m looking forward to doctoring them up a bit and can’t wait to make some more pillow covers to match every season. I couldn’t have bought pillow forms for this price!!

Another really great one is after Christmas – buy those fancy Christmas pillows that you just love at 50 or 75% off, then make covers for them so you can keep them out all year – that way you don’t have to find a place to store them!
