I love Thanksgiving. I really do. We don’t do anything fancy for Thanksgiving; usually it’s just the six of us at home and I fix the big Thanksgiving meal and occasionally we even eat it in our jammies. But what I really like is just a day devoted to being thankful. WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!!
I was looking around on Pinterest the other day, yesterday, today, right now…It’s so terribly amazing, I can’t seem to get enough. Anyway, I came across these really cute banners. I love them and thought they would be a great reminder every time we look at them. So I thought I’d make one of my own.
First, I printed out the letters. These were done with my printer on some scrapbook card stock. I used the Comic Sans font set at 300. Next I cut them into squares (or close to it) mine are 5in. x 4in.
Then I used a metallic gold stamp pad and gently rubbed it along the edges to give it an aged look.
My next step was to measure in 1/2 inch and use my hole punch and punch a hole on each side of the top of the cards.
Then I started “threading” them on to some ribbon from my amazing ribbon deal. (I’m going to be using that a lot in the future!).
Finally, I figured out exactly where I was going to hang them and how long I wanted them to be and then tied a cute little bow at the top to finish it off.
Looks beautiful, and a good reminder too.
This is lovely!!!
