I came across Paparazzi Jewelry several months ago and was immediately interested in it. It looked really trendy and was VERY inexpensive. How inexpensive you ask?? $5… yes, only $5 for each piece or set. Many of their necklaces come with the matching earrings and they are still only $5.
Anyway, when Michelle who blogs over at Someday Crafts gave me the opportunity to review some of the jewelry…I jumped on it.
Paparazzi carries necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins, headbands, and kids jewelry.
The kids jewelry is really cute and available for $1.50!!
You can get more information or updates on the latest jewelry at the Jewelry for Five Facebook page. To see the available selection or make a purchase visit jewelryforfive.com.
I’m sure I don’t have to remind you that Christmas is on its way and I know for a fact I will be ordering several more jewelry items for some of my family and friends. This would make a great gift for a teacher, secret sister, co-worker, or any lady on your list. (This would also make a great stocking stuffer, men… hint hint)
Paparazzi Jewelry is a NEW company and there are business opportunities available where anyone can join and sell. The commission is 45% and Michelle offers more information at jewelryforfive.blogspot.com or you can contact her at jewelryforfive@gmail.com.
As you can imagine, this jewelry sells itself; it’s great quality for the price.
I was given several pieces of jewelry in exchange for my review. My opinion is 100% my own.
I think this jewelry is an amazing deal for the price and is very comparable to any I’ve seen in the department stores lately. Give Jewelry for Five a try…I think you’ll be very pleased.
Wow! I LOVE jewelry! I am bouncing over! 🙂
Do you know if the jewelry is Fair Trade? At that cheap of a price I would make sure it is not made in some sweat shop in China
I’m wondering if it is Fair Trade, as well.
Yes it’s terrible made in China by underage unpaid slave children. It turned my earlobes green. Buy USA people!
Turned mine black and they started to get enflamed. They aren’t being honest about what they are made of in my opinion. They must have nickel in them. I am allergic to nickel. Had reactions from all 3 pairs that I bought.
One of the rings turned my fingers a dark color, and then the chain on a necklace broke. Yikes!
My paparazzi jewerly just cost about another $100 dollars for a doctor bill, medicine and time off work not to mention the huge welts on my head and face that itch horribly because I was alergic to it. If you are at all sensitive to jewerly (I didn’t think I was that sensitive) stay away from it.
Paparazzi is a joke, sorry to say but I guess you pay for what you get. The jewelry breaks easily and they don’t replace it. I am taking my business to Park Lane.
I just started selling Paparazzi and all i can say is that yes it may be cheap but if you take care of your items they should last. And not only that but you can be allergic to anything and you wont know it until you try it. I am a mother to 3 kids and I will tell you I would much rather buy this $1 and $3 and $5 items for my kids than spending tons of money on them elsewhere.
I recieved a set as a gift from my sister. I love the necklace but I can’t where the earings. I have had problems in the past with inexpencive jewlery and always figured it was the nickel. Acording to paparazzi’s website their jewlery is lead and nickel free, but not necesaraly hypoallergenic. So it must not be nickel that is my problem. If you are sensitive you may want to stay away but for $5 it might be worth a shot to try it. If you do react you aren’t out much.
You should try painting the earrings with clear nail polish everywhere the metal will touch your ear and see if that helps with sensitivity.
Where exactly is this jewelry manufactured? I like to know what community (or country for that matter) I am contributing to. With the way our economy is, every nickel I spend has to be accounted for in the long run and not just to save me a buck or two today.
Please be very careful what kind of jewelry you let your children wear. Inform yourself of what the jewelry is made from. Cadmium is being used in place of lead from over seas. Cadmium is a toxic heavy metal, which can cause cancer, genetic problems and kidney damage. Some makers are STILL using lead and just advertise that they do not thinking it will not be checked anyway. GOOGLE it. Retailers do not check their products. It is up to you to keep yourself and your children safe. You get what you pay for and in this case, it may be more of a price than you bargain for. (Even PLASTIC can have unsafe chemicals in it.)
Paparazzi is made from steel and aluminum
Stainless steel is a metal alloy, made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, silicon, aluminum, and carbon. Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel is the main component of stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.
Stainless steel has nickel in it !!!!
I just started selling Paparazzi and love it! I will say this, the jewelry is lead free and nickle free, the company makes sure of that……the majority of people who have problems wearing less expensive jewelry is because their system is allergic or has an allergic reaction to nickle. Since Paparazzi is nickle free, if you still have problems, it is something that is most likely in your system and not the fault of the jewelry. Many people I know cannot wear sterling silver or even one of them cannot wear 24 carat gold without breaking out! So Paparazzi has absolutely no control over what you can or cannot wear. They have no control over YOUR system. You are the only judge of that!
The jewelry is fashion jewelry…in other words, costume jewelry. As someone else posted, if you are not happy with it, you are only out $5, not more. It’s fun, it’s fashionable and it’s affordable. Every piece is designed to be different and you may be the only one in your area wearing it! An exclusive!! What fun!
Also, after many (and I mean MANY) years of being in direct sales, including but certainly not limited to, Little World Toys, Discovery Toys, Mary Kay, Jafra, Home Interior and until just several months ago, Avon after 11 years, THIS company is by far the BEST one for what they pay and how they treat their consultants. NEVER have I made the 45% I’m making now. So with that being said, if you still have questions, there are plenty of websites of consultants to go on and each and every one of them is willing to answer any questions you may have.
WHERE IS IT MADE, people want to know, specialy if people are thinking about selling it…
I’m so glad you posted this! They DO treat their consultants VERY well! And I’ve not had a customer complaint EVER.
Um what isn’t made in China these days? Really, we all know EVERYTHING is made there!
Mary Kay Cosmetics are made and distributed in the USA.
And 50% commission ❤️
Jamberry is made in the USA!
I could not find anywhere on their site or Google that states where the products are made. Yes, $5 is a good deal but not if it does not benefit our economy or is making profits for slave labor or sweat shops. Also for the multiple statements of “you are only out $5”, well, that means those that sold it are also guaranteed to be out future sales and what kind of success can that bring? I agree with the statements of knowing what the pieces are made of because although you are “only out $5”, the other issues that could arise from allowing a toxin the settle on your skin are not worth that $5. As for Direct Sales Companies, BeautiControl is been leading the market in skin care and anti-aging for 31 years. It compares to the dermatologist grade products versus the party plan DS companies and we are the original Spa At Home DS company. They offer 50% profits or more, are researched and developed in the US (TX)at our own Research Institute and we OWN all of our formulas and patents and never sell them. We are the crown jewel of the Tupperware Global Brands family. And you are ensured continued business with re-orders with results after a single use and with 15 minutes with many products! BC offers products for everyone! Men, Women, Babies, Young, Teen & Mature! You can find affordable quality made right here in the US!!!
Do any of you shop at Walmart? I work stocking the shelves and everything I pick up says made in China. I also sell Paparazzi and have never had anyone complain about the jewelry.
I am a consultant thru Paparazzi & i have always had problems with earrings making my ears hurt but paparazzi does NOT bother me. So give it a try u never know bc i didnt until i tried. I have a few pieces from premier & i cant wear them they kill my ears & were expensive. To whomever said the jewelry breaks & the company will not replace it- every consultant should have a repair kit & wud fix it 4 u for free. It would most likely be something is not tightened enough. It only takes a second to fix so just ask the consultant u bought it from. I love Paparazzi & all my customers love it to. I have nothing bad to say about it.
I love it. Everyone has rights to their opinion. I love that it’s not too expensive, and it looks good.
Hi, I too am a Paparazzi Consultant. As noted on our website, our products are designed in the US, but made in China. Our site also states “•Produced in facilities with elite standards and regulations for quality and labor”, I interpret that as not being sweatshops, others may interpret it differently. As noted above our products are nickel free and lead free; I’ve been told they are made of steel, not surgical steel. We also have some copper products. I personally check each piece to make sure all clasps are working properly before selling them, make sure all other pieces are tight, make all necessary repairs as needed, also tell my customers that I will repair any normal wear on the pieces if they bring it back to me. I take great pride in my business and want my customers to return. Sounds like some of you above haven’t had such good experiences with Paparazzi and I think it was due to your consultant rather than the product.
I’m a Paparazzi Consultant as well! I do the exact same thing as you said you do – I inspect each piece. It’s all about the customer service, how you present yourself and the jewelry! I am VERY SUCCESSFUL in my Paparazzi business. There will always be people in this world who complain about everything or try to find something wrong with everything. I have not run into any unsatisfied customers yet!
I love paparazzi, and it makes me happy to know that I can have cute jewelry without breaking the bank. Oh and I plan on becoming a consultant !
I’ll be happy to help anyone sign up to become a Paparazzi consultant!
hello,
I wish to know how resistant the jewelries are and which materials they are made from.
I live in Africa and will like to sell paparrazi accessories.
I went to a craft show and bought a couple of pieces, now I am having a party and thinking about celling the product. This is perfect for the kids that loose everything. College kids and that gif that you for got to buy and you have to go to that last min. birthday pary.
I just couldn’t go away your website prior to suggesting
that I really enjoyed the usual information a person provide in your visitors?
Is going to be again incessantly in order to investigate cross-check new posts
As in an above post. Paparazzi is designed by two sisters who started the business. They made the jewelry at first and it boomed so they started Paparazzi. Yes, it IS made in China and they go over twice a year to check out the manufacturers and for new designs. I made jewelry and guess where the beads and findings were made? CHINA If you know of any jewelry that is NOT made in China, you will usually find everything in it WAS. There are designers who make their own beads but I’ve bought those and it way more than $5. I understand some people can only wear gold or silver, if so, Paparazzi is not for you. It’s affordable for almost anyone who wants to accessorize but doesn’t have the budget of some. I’d love to know where you shop and what you buy if you have nothing that isn’t made in China! Thanks
Spoken like someone with her feet planted in reality.
It’s unclear if they have any prior expertise in the MLM industry,
which is something that I definitely watch out
for in a business. The two became business partners, and after
acquiring the unique technology, they launched ASEA.
For more on the style of balloons available look at the Disney range of balloons and look how they
associate the style of balloon to their market and
product.
I just received a paparazzi set of jewelry for my birthday, the packaging says made in China. INTENDED FOR 14 YEARS AND UP- that’s a little odd, it’s just a necklace and earrings why would they say that.
I was on this website a while ago called rosegal.com, they had tons of cute jewelry really cheap, and they listed what it was made out of- LEAD TIN ALLOY. yes, there’s lead and who knows what else in this cheap jewelry, it’s not regulated, especially when it’s made in China. Just think of all the toys and stuff that have been recalled due to toxic chemicals.
I had another cheap necklace given to me by someone, it was one of the same necklaces that was listed on the rosegal site, that had lead in it, but they bought it from amazon. I wore it for a few hours and it made my skin hurt where it was touching.
I just read through all these comments and I’m cracking up. Seriously if you are worried the jewelry is made in China or made of lead or something harmful then don’t buy it! Move on and find something else to kibbitz about. There are people starving and children dying of cancer in the world, put your energy into something more useful than complaining about where this jewelry is made, or go complain on the Paparazzi Jewelry site if it’s such a big deal.
If the jewelry is made in China, it is cheap jewelry and will last from a few days to a few weeks until it breaks or changes your body parts green or black. Notice the main website never brings up the quality or where it is made. One of the worse experiences is to sell or give cheap jewelry to friends and relatives and then have them complain about the quality or the dull look it gets after a couple of weeks. and cheap jewelry looks cheap too and if you wish you go out looking like that when you are all dressed up and ready to party or attend a special event, be my guest. Our company has been designing and fabricating fine fashion jewelry that is 18K gold 4X over since 1936 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has been number in the world in jewelry for sales and growth since 2008, making over 110,000 hand finished pieces everyday with over 200 new designs every four months. The jewelry is comparable to James Avery in design and quality, but a fraction of the price and gives a one year warranty. NICE is just now coming to the USA (NICEinTheUSA.com) as a direct selling company. Be among the first! Everything that touches your body should be gold!
The website states the products are designed in the US, but made in China. The site also states “•Produced in facilities with elite standards and regulations for quality and labor”, I interpret that as not being sweatshops…..i am not a consultant, i have ONE piece of paparazzi jewelry that was given to me and I have had it over 6 months and its still as cute as the day it was given to me and my body has not changed colors. Maybe you should go re-read the website since you missed the very information you claim you were looking for. And if your jewelry only last a few days you may need to learn to take care of it. Even cheap jewelry from the mall from places like Claire’s last longer than a few days.
Paparazzi Jewelry is nickel and lead free, bid you broke out and had that bad of a reaction it wAs from something in your ph in your skin, ANY JEWELRY CAN DO THAT IF YOU HAVE THAT PROBLEM, EVEN GOLD. . I still wear my PAPARAZZI jewelry from 2 years ago and it still looks new.
I’m new with Paparazzi and I’m pleased with all of it. I have learned and earned more in a few months than ln years with other companies. We are a helpful group that help accessorize women for much less. I’m building my team to share the wealth and happiness available with this young conpany. Email me if you want to join a helpful team and a mentor who cares. Wewantbling@gmail.com Blessings!
The thing I love about Paparazzi is that the styles available are added to almost daily, so there’s always something new. This company has given me the opportunity to bring happiness to lots of women without breaking the bank. Who doesn’t want to have some flair and fashion for only $5.00? The commission is great, and the support is second to none. If you want to shop or join a great team, go to http://www.paparazziaccessories.com/41988
Yes – This jewelry is made in China. BUT it is not a Chinese company. It is not imported from a Chinese company to sell in the USA. It is owned by an American Family who happen to have their products made in China. They (the owners) regulate what goes on in their factories in China. They go there and inspect their factories. Do you know there are many companies that are owned by Americans, but have their products made in other countries. Not just China. In Mexico too. And many other countries. And for those who don’t like the idea of supporting another country — well, I make 45% of what I sell and my money is spent right here in the good ‘ol USA!
I buy from trades of Hope, while not $5, I am assured that it is fair trade and it is helping Empower women out of poverty around the world. None made in China. they are made in 16 different countries and help those women feed their families and send their children to school. The women in the United States sell the products for them there by also making a living. It’s a win-win-win situation for all. I have nothing against Paparazzi jewelry as I’ve never used it or bought it. I am simply answering your question of where we buy our jewelry that’s not China
