The Garage Sales are in full swing in “my neck of the woods” and I’ve hit a few bummers but a bunch of winners too! My new favorite sales are Estate sales…I’m not sure if that means I’m getting older or what but, I find all the neat older odds and ends to be very intriguing.
This cracker tin was a quarter at a church rummage sale. I got several more items from this same sale but they are already in the process of a makeover…I’ll show you those soon!
And now my favorite find of this month was this beauty…
I was looking for an inexpensive dresser for my boys’ room and was shocked when I came across this solid wood (not veneer), antique dresser. And the best part…
Can you believe it? $25?? I couldn’t even haggle for that price. It’s going to get a makeover but don’t worry…I do consider this good wood and won’t paint it.
Anywhoo, those are my finds for this month…I’ll have a bunch more in June, I’m sure. Have you found any great ones lately?
Such great finds! I especially like the interesting iron lantern. And of course, the second I saw the gorgeous dresser, my first thought was “don’t paint that beautiful wood!” I can hardly wait to see it refinished. You scored some wonderful deals.
I have two of those old railroad lanterns (red). Cute! I love that dresser…and for $25??? Wow!
These look so cute! Great finds. I’ve never been a serious garage saler, but I do hit up Goodwill on 1/2 off days and come back with some fun things! Would love to try Estate sales sometime!
So fun to find such great stuff!
I have the same red lantern also bought at a garage sale ! I hope you’ll stop by http://www.bargainfun.net sometime. I share my garage sale goods.
I am jealous of the dresser find! I’m sure it will turn out very cute once you get it cleaned up.
Awesome finds – love the dresser!
Lucky you!!! I don’t have anything that nice in our local garage sales!
Great finds. Love each one.
Carrie, I so enjoyed seeing your finds. I can't get enough of looking at all the cool stuff people come across and seeing how much they are able to score it for. I'll be posting my weekend finds soon. I found you at Skip to My Lou. Come by and see me at Quirky Vistas.

Great finds! The dresser is gorgeous! I can't believe is was only $25. You got a steal on that and the Ball Ideal Jars! .
I really enjoy seeing the things that people find at sales and your finds are not only great, but with great prices too! How can you beat those lanterns for 50 cents and that dresser for $25?!!!
What a bargain!! Seriously you cannot beat $25!! I love garage sales and estate sales too!

$25!!!!! Woohoo!!!! You got one heck of a deal on that beautiful dresser. Wow! I’m going out tomorrow to hit a couple of big community garage sales in a neighborhood called Victorial Village. I’m keeping my fingers crossed about finding some good deals. Thanks for sharing. I’m your latest follower.
Such awesome finds!! I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with the cracker tins, I have some too and not sure what to do with them. I’m adding myself to your followers, I hope you’ll check out my page too. Although it’s REALLY new!!
