May Garage Sale Finds

Frugal Find

The Garage Sales are in full swing in “my neck of the woods” and I’ve hit a few bummers but a bunch of winners too!  My new favorite sales are Estate sales…I’m not sure if that means I’m getting older or what but, I find all the neat older odds and ends to be very intriguing.

, Saving 4 Six

These lanterns were 50 cents each, yes, only $.50.

, Saving 4 Six
This one is iron and I’m very curious as to its intended use.  Any ideas?
, Saving 4 Six

These jars filled with wooden spools were only $1…Oh, the possibilities!!

, Saving 4 Six

This cracker tin was  a quarter at a church rummage sale.  I got several more items from this same sale but they are already in the process of a makeover…I’ll show you those soon!

, Saving 4 Six

This heavy duty trash can was a freebie…I’m thinkin’ light fixture of some sort??

, Saving 4 Six

, Saving 4 Six

I found various baskets, buckets, and more for just a couple of dollars.

, Saving 4 Six

Doesn’t this bushel basket look cute by my newly painted bed frame bench?

, Saving 4 Six

This little stool is going to spruce up nicely with a coat of paint.  $1 for this cutie!

And now my favorite find of this month was this beauty…

, Saving 4 Six

I was looking for an inexpensive dresser for my boys’ room and was shocked when I came across this solid wood (not veneer), antique dresser.  And the best part…

, Saving 4 Six

Can you believe it?  $25??  I couldn’t even haggle for that price.  It’s going to get a makeover but don’t worry…I do consider this good wood and won’t paint it.
Anywhoo, those are my finds for this month…I’ll have a bunch more in June, I’m sure.  Have you found any great ones lately?

Blessings,
, Saving 4 Six

Such great finds! I especially like the interesting iron lantern. And of course, the second I saw the gorgeous dresser, my first thought was “don’t paint that beautiful wood!” I can hardly wait to see it refinished. You scored some wonderful deals.

These look so cute! Great finds. I’ve never been a serious garage saler, but I do hit up Goodwill on 1/2 off days and come back with some fun things! Would love to try Estate sales sometime!

$25!!!!! Woohoo!!!! You got one heck of a deal on that beautiful dresser. Wow! I’m going out tomorrow to hit a couple of big community garage sales in a neighborhood called Victorial Village. I’m keeping my fingers crossed about finding some good deals. Thanks for sharing. I’m your latest follower.
