My Mother has spent her entire life being a most amazing mom. She has been a fabulous example and inspiration over the years and I am so thankful for her. This year she and my dad moved out of state and I miss her desperately. One thing I have recognized in the year that she has been away is that she is the center of our family. She really holds us all together. That’s what lead me to create this plaque for Mother’s Day.
I visited my local Michaels Store and quickly loaded my cart. I was totally inspired for many other upcoming projects as well as this one. Let me show you how I made this Mother’s Day plaque.
I came across the wood section in Michaels and picked up these wooden plaques. These would be the base of my project.
Next came paint and other decorative touches. Michaels has a great selection of paint and it was really easy to find the exact color I was looking for.
I painted all the plaques this Limeade color and then created an elegant touch with this PLAID Painting Stencil.
Next, I used this ABCD Stencil Decor to paint on the letters: FAMILY.
Then I started gluing them all together.
After the glue dried, I added a couple picture frame hangers to the back so it would be easy to hang.
This post was sponsored by Michaels. where I got everything I needed for this project. I love everything I bought and loved every minute of my shopping experience!!
