I know you know that I have a love of burlap. I have it here, there, and almost everywhere. I was needing some in my dining room and decided to make one of those adorable table runners for my refinished dining room table.
I measured and cut a strip of burlap 15inches x 66inches to fit my table.
I made a ruffle from some left-over muslin to go on the ends of it. Since I’m a newbie at sewing this might not be the “right” way but it’s the way I know.
I used “Fray Check” to seal the edges of burlap.

I didn’t want to cover up my table but the runner is just enough and fits with the country-rustic look of my house just perfectly!
