Sweet Salty Fall Mix

I’m a sweet and salty kinda gal!  I love to combine the two.  So, I thought I’d share one of my favorite snacks for this time of year.

, Saving 4 Six

I love candy corn…the indian corn.  You know, the ones with the brown on the bottom…not the yellow.  My sister and I go round and round about which one is best.  Anywhooo, either one is great for this quick, yummy, sweet, and salty mix.
All you need is:
Peanuts
Candy Corn
Raisins

, Saving 4 Six

I mix equal parts of peanuts and candy corn and then throw in some raisins (about half of the amount of the candy corn).  That’s it!

, Saving 4 Six

Eat it all together in a yummy handful and you have some simple, sweet, and salty deliciousness!!

Blessings,

My sister brought something like this last fall when she came to my house for the kids. She bought a dollar store Halloween jar and filled it peanuts, candy corn, raisens, craisins, and chocolate chips. So yummy!

I am new to your site. And I really like your ideas, but I do not enjoy the video ad (monkeysee?) you have. I don’t mind it playing but it automatically plays with sound. Highly annoying when you have several windows open. Then I have to search through windows until I find it. Can you move it towards the top so it is easier to find?

I make something similar–instead of the raisins, I add m-n-m’s! And this year, I added Buggles! YUM! Found you over at HOH#117

Great flavor combinations! And a great way to make eating plain candy corn a little healthier…

I’ve never tried this with raisins. We eat candy corn with just peanuts and it tastes just like a Payday candy bar. I’ll try adding some raisins now. Thanks!
