Several months ago I showed you the transformation of my horrific basement steps.
From old, gross, and dangerous…
To new, clean, functional, and safe
Well, the landing of those steps still looked pretty bad.
And there were some visable wires on this wall as well.
So, My Better Half built a “box” to hide the wires. I now refer to it as my mantle.
I also painted the bottom half of the wall to add contrast…
And, this is what my landing looks like now…

You had the same color carpet on your stairs as I do. I wish I could get the courage to take mine out.

We have that same horrible green “astroturf” on our basement stairs. Yours look so good now, maybe we’ll tackle that someday soon now that we know how nice it can look! Thanks for linking to Craftastic Monday at Sew Can Do:)

Wow! I see what you mean about safety. You must have an older home. They have such class. I love the landing. Are those drawers built into the steps? What a great storage idea.

What a cool idea. I love the look of the ‘mantle’. We haven’t finished off our basement yet, but I’m certainly keeping this look in mind for our basement landing. Thanks for sharing. Found you from HOH Link party.

Testosterone Steroids says
Half of the cyclists rawsteroidpowders.cabanova.com did more or less classical interval training: cycling for 4.5 minutes as fast as they could and then 2.5 minutes cycling gently to recover. They repeated this cycle until the 40 minutes were up. [LI]
