I don’t know about you, but these cooler temperatures are making me want to eat those yummy, hearty comfort foods. We try to have “breakfast” for supper one night a week and this recipe will be a keeper in the comfort food menu plan.
Whole Wheat Pecan Waffles – Printable Version
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tsps. baking powder
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cups quick oats
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Combine the milk, eggs, flour, butter, baking powder, and brown sugar until well blended. Stir in the oats and pecans. Bake in a preheated, greased waffle iron until deep golden brown.
These are really hearty and filling. When you add a dollop of butter on them they taste like butter pecan waffles.
YUM!
Blessings,
I’ve put oatmeal in pancakes many times but never in waffles. what a great idea! yours look delicious!
Yummm! That looks delicious! I really only like to eat breakfast for dinner so that is tonight’s plan. Delicious!
i’m looking forward to trying these! We’re a whole wheat / alternative flour only household so the fact that these use WW and oats is great for us. And I love a butter pecan flavor, so yum 🙂 Robin @ happilyhomeafter.blogspot.com

Oh I so have to make these!!!
Oh, your waffles look so yummy.
I just received a bag of pecans from my Father.
Now I have another recipe for using them!
I fixed these for my family last night and we loved them!!Thank you for the recipe
I tried this recipe and it was a flop. The batter was too liquid and stuck horribly to both sides of my waffle maker. It is missing something…
Hi Myra, I’m sorry your waffles flopped. I’m not sure what happened that made them too liquid. After I got your message I mixed up another batch of them because I do make mistakes in keying in recipes, but this one was right…if anything, the batter was a little thick.
Sorry your waffles didn’t work.
