Making Ordinary Extraordinary

Sometimes I think it is “All” in the details.  You know, those few minutes it takes to make something go from ordinary to extraordinary.  Today, I’m going to share with you a few ideas of ways to take simple every day items  and make them a little more special.
Starting with simple brownie mix.  A great way to portion brownies is to make them in muffin papers/pans.

, Saving 4 Six

I do this for my family as well.  They seem to last a lot longer this way.  Sometimes, I will make up several batches and freeze them like this too.

Anyway, if you are called on to bring a treat to an event, instead of just making a pan of brownies, bake them in muffin papers and then top with with a dollop of frosting.

Then add a finishing touch like this fondant butterfly I had left over from a butterfly cake, or a mini candy bar, or sprinkle with m&ms.

Cookies are another easy treat to share. So next time you need a quick little thank you gift or thinking of you treat, make a batch of cookies…any kind will do.  When you get ready to give them, instead of just throwing a bunch in a baggie, wrap them neatly in some plastic wrap and tie them with a bow.

It turns four little cookies into a specially wrapped treat.

Brown paper lunch bags are so inexpensive and make beautiful gift wrap.  You can put a Make Ahead Mix in the bag or any other little gift.

By using a hole punch you can neatly place holes in the top of a bag and add a ribbon to make it pretty.  Any scrapbook paper tag will spruce it up nicely as well.

Have you found any nifty, inexpensive ways to turn ordinary into extraordinary?
Blessings,

Pretty portion control, you could freeze those cookies wrapped too.

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance.
I must say you’ve done a awesome job with this. In addition, the blog loads super fast for me on Firefox.
    Superb Blog!
