Pancake Squares

I love warm, fluffy, syrup-covered pancakes.  They are like a yummy comfort food to me.  I like them so much, that we often have them for dinner.  For six people however, I have to make A LOT of pancakes.  This can be very time consuming and by the time the last one is finished the first one is pretty much…cold.  So I came across this recipe for Pancake Squares, I thought it just made sense…and it did!!

, Saving 4 Six
These pancake squares are simply baked in a 9X13 pan and taste just like yummy pancakes.  They save lots of time and you can all eat while the “pancakes” are fresh and warm.
This is what you need:
1 1/2 cups milk
4 tablespoons melted butter
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 9×13 baking dish. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and then pour in pan.  Bake for 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Serve with your favorite pancake topping.  I love syrup on mine but my kids can’t seem to eat theirs without peanut butter!
Enjoy,

I saw a recipe like this and pinned it! Thanks so much for sharing yours. There is nothing more comforting than a tender moist fluffy biscuity yumminess. aka: pancakes soaked in syrup-yum. I am so going to try this. Visiting from One Project at a Time. Have a Happy Easter. Love, Wanda

This is my kind of pancake. Dying to make this. Should probably never make it because I will want it for dinner every day. I kind of drive my husband crazy with wanting to make pancakes for dinner too often!

Brilliant– my son loves to “make pancakes” and it ends up the biggest mess. Pinned!

I made these for dinner tonight. We also have 4 kids (only 3 will eat pancakes – of course) and I made this side-by-side with my tried and true pancake recipe on the griddle. These were just as good, if not better. And the best part was that I got to eat them HOT! WOOT! Thanks for sharing! I also pinned this (because I forget a lot of things…)

Made these tonight for dinner. These will definitely be making a morning appearance when my nephews are over, making our total house count from 5 up to 7. I put peanut butter chips in the one side and a stripe of sprinkles down the middle. I loved the PB chips part. Mine weren’t as fluffy as yours though.:(

Oh my goodness, this is such a great idea! I loathe standing at the stove making pancakes forever while the rest of the breakfast is ready. I'm tweeting and pinning!! Have a lovely day!
