My Princess just turned 8 and she spent many hours searching for the perfect girl birthday cake. My boys don’t care what the cake looks like as long as it tastes good but my little girl was determined to have the best birthday cake and after much “research”, this is what we came up with.
I was going to use fondant for the stripes on the cake but then I saw how pricey prepared fondant is and so I looked for an alternative.
Then I came across this “edible paper”. It’s like paper and I was able to cut it with a pizza cutter.
Apparently you can use other cutters to make fancy shapes too. It didn’t really have much of a taste but was fun and super easy to work with. It worked perfectly for this cake project.
The cake is not perfect but it was exactly what My Princess wanted. Happy Birthday Precious One. You are a gift from God.
