Gardening Can Be Fun and Memorable

I love to work in the garden.  Whether it’s my flower gardens, vegetable garden, or now…my little herb garden.  Today, I have an easy little gardening project that the family can do together and that is fun, easy, and memorable.

For this project you will need:

Clay pot(s), craft paint, foam brush, Moisture Control Potting Mix, and your choice of plants

First, gather the kiddos and have fun painting their hands.

Next, have them place their freshly painted hands on a clay pot.  This should make a nice handprint.

Then fill your pot with Moisture Control Potting Mix.  You can plant whatever you want in the pot.  It could be flowers, herbs, or whatever your pot will accomodate.  When planting my new herb garden, My Better Half was sure to use Miracle-Gro.

These can be for your own enjoyment or to share as a gift.
