I love cake pops. I think they look so fancy and are such a special treat but I shied away from making them because they just seem to be so much work and make such a mess.
Well, I was right about that…they are a lot of work and did make a mess, which is what made me come up with this idea for a Cake Pop Stand.
I got this really neat cake pop pan that makes the baking easy. Then I dipped my pop sticks in white chocolate and then stuck them into the cake pops.
When I dipped them in chocolate, I discovered I had no where to place them while they hardened. Hmmmmm.
So I put them in the baking pan, but this just made a horrible mess and it didn’t have enough holes to hold all the cake pops.
This was NOT working. I knew there had to be a fix for this problem and so I asked My Better Half to create something like this:
All it is is a piece of extra trim with holes drilled in it. You don’t have to use trim, you could use any piece of thin scrap lumber (avoid treated lumber of course). He drilled the hole with a 3/16 drill bit to make room for the cake pop sticks.
It worked PERFECTLY!! And it was such a simple fix.
Hello from sunny London! Brilliant idea! I have a cake pop maker too, I hit the same problem as you in the after baking part of the process. My solution was to poke holes in sytrofoam packaging from a recent online delivery and use that! Worked a treat, but is really only a one time or two at most solution! What a good idea! I have never made cake pops, but they certainly seem to be all the rage! Thanks for sharing on Weekend Potluck!
What a good idea. I don’t make cake pops very often because the drying process is horrendous. This would definitely simplify. We’ll be featuring this over at Someday Crafts tomorrow 🙂
Yet every day I would watch him get a drink from the machine, then
go to the snack machine and get a packaged sandwich, and then brag about only spending $1.
At this point, it is definitely obvious the Automated Money Machine
is not a scam. The list is endless but make sure you charge at least 35% more than average for private English lessons
in your city.
