Last year at this time, I showed you my organizing system for paying my bills. You might remember that things went from bad, in a little, unorganized, messy basket
to a better, two accordion file system.
You can see the old filing “system” HERE
Granted, it still wasn’t ideal, but then again, neither was the tiny space I had to work with. My office consisted of a drawer in my kitchen island and so I was making the most of it.
Anyway, since we have completed this amazing transformation of a closet to my new office, I have much more space and many more organizing opportunities.
So here’s what’s workin’ for my bill paying organization now.
I ordered this file rack from Amazon…only $4.97. You can order it HERE.
I picked up some fancy file folders at Target for a few dollars and labeled them using these labels from A Typical English Home
And now my “organizing system” got well, so much better!
I have file folders for : Medical, Bills to Pay, Taxes, Receipts, Things to File, Coupons, and Miscellaneous. At the beginning of each month when I pay bills, I still file my paid bills in my accordion file by month, and file away my “file” folder. It is so nice to have things at the touch of my fingers and to have it all looking so nice.
Now I have to work on the drawers and the other cabinet, but for now…one thing at a time.

Great idea! I love your little office closet. Having a dedicated space for office stuff probably makes a huge difference. I don’t even have a drawer in the kitchen.
