This long winter really got to me. I’ve been longing for warm, sunny days and when it wasn’t happening outside, I decided to turn my dark, dreary dining room into a warm, sunny place.
Here’s the “before” as we were painting the trim.
I was SO, so ready for a change!!
I picked my color and went for it.
Then once I got the dining room back together… I disliked it…GREATLY! It was too pale and had hues of green it, which clashed with my red curtains and accents.
So, I headed back to the store and picked out two different paint samples and tried them both.
This one is Glidden’s Corn Silk
My other choice was Glidden’s Sunbeam
Well, after seeing what the colors would look like during the day and at night, I chose the lighter Corn Silk color.
I’m SO glad I did. It came out plenty dark and harmonizes well with my curtains and accents.
The new look is so fresh and bright.
The yellow color gives it an entirely new appearance.
Once I started getting this “right” color on the walls, I decided to go ahead and use the same paint in the kitchen.
Now I’m starting to think about painting my kitchen cabinets… how exciting would that be?!
Do you have any exciting paint projects coming up now that spring has arrived?

Such a pretty clean cheerful color!
I’m in the middle of painting my kitchen cabinets. They say you think you will die before your finish & I can say that’s absolutely true! It’s looking really good though & I’m plugging along.
