Ok, so I had a pot-luck to go to the other day and didn’t want to run out to the grocery to get stuff for a dessert to share. Since I had all the ingredients to make No-Bake Cookies, I decided to give them another try. Every time I have ever made no bakes, they have never set up. They look good, but they just fall apart when I try to take them off the waxed paper. So this time I was determined. I found the Food Network recipe and the reviews were good. People had good success with them so this was the recipe…WRONG! Once again, they looked beautiful but as soon as I tried to take them off the waxed paper…they were mush.
Well my friends, since necessity is the mother of invention, I decided to pick my mushy no-bake cookies up off the paper and roll them into balls. Then I rolled them in powdered sugar.
They stuck together this way and tasted just a yummy as they did in the cookie form.
My Pastor complimented me on my cookie balls, saying, “Those are the best repurposed cookies I ever had”. It works for me! I love to repurpose things!
So, if you mess up your no-bakes, just roll ’em into balls, it’s a perfect save!

I’m so glad I found someone else (or two in this case!) who can’t get No Bakes to turn out right! At least now I know a “fix” for it….lol. Thanks for a great post, and a great save!

That’s such a great idea to redo them into powdered sugar balls. They’re actually prettier that way.
I don’t have trouble with my no bake cookies, though. I do time them–they have to boil for exactly 60 seconds or my dad says they won’t set up right (and my dad knows everything). Maybe that will help you, or maybe you can just start this.

That was smart…I would have just gotten a spoon and eaten them all off the waxed paper!
