Cake Mix Cookies are all the rage right now it seems, but the other day I wanted to make a simple cookie and didn’t have a cake mix. I did however, have a brownie mix and so I tried that option. After several failed attempts (cookies that were way too thin and stuck miserably), I finally found the right combination of ingredients and… They. were. amazing!!
- 18.3 oz Brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup flour
- ¼ cup oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 cups m&ms
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool for 5 minutes and remove from cookie sheet
As I mentioned in the above recipe, the combination can be a bit finicky. My first attempt to make these turned out way too thin and ran across my baking sheet, consequently they stuck miserably. My next attempt made them more like brownie balls. So, make sure you have the right size brownie mix… 18.3 oz before attempting this goodness on your own.
My family loved them and we shared them with another family that agreed! I will definitely be making these yummy, soft, chewy, fudgey cookies again soon.

haha I’ve tried them before and had the ‘run across the pan, super thin’ experience! I will have to try this combo sometime soon!
