I’ve been working on some projects for a Christmas Open House I participated in this year.
A friend of mine and her family, plan, organize, and make a ton a crafts for this special event and they asked me to add to the crafts this year. It was so much fun and a great success.
One of the crafts I made for this event was some simple cinnamon ornaments. They were extremely fragrant and turned our really cute.
I found this great, simple recipe HERE on Pinterest. It called for applesauce, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and white glue.
After mixing it together, I divided it into four portions and then rolled them out, about 1/4 inch thick.
Using your favorite cookie cutters, cut out your ornaments and lay them on parchment paper to dry.
Using a toothpick, make a hole that is big enough to thread your hanging string into. I didn’t make the hole in several of my ornaments big enough and so a few broke while I was threading my string into them.
Let them dry completely, for about 2-3 days. I flipped mine twice a day until they dried and hardened.
That’s all there is to it… Cute, festive, and fragrant! They would make a great little teacher gift, ornament for your tree, or an accessory to your gift wrap.
Give ’em a try, I think you’ll like them!

The link for the recipe on Pinterest doesn’t work (on this site and on your Pinterest). Is it possible for you to just post the ingredients/amounts needed to make the ornaments by any chance? Thanks!

Not sure why the link wasn’t working…it seems to be working now. Thanks for the heads-up though!
