Last month was My Princess’s 10th birthday. Oh, how the time has flown in my little girl’s life. After 3 boys (who I love dearly and who read my blog;) ), a little girl was a nice surprise. I thought for certain that she would end up being a tom-boy, but she could not be further from that. She is about as girly, frilly, pink, and feminine as I think they come. AND, I couldn’t be more happy about that!
This year for her birthday a precious friend of mine offered to bring her tea party goods to our house for a tea party and we decided this was the perfect age and timing for a Birthday Tea.
The Birthday Tea consisted of 7 young ladies, lots of giggles, yummy food, and some pretty treats.
Here’s what was on the menu:
Peanut butter and jelly cut with heart shaped cookie cutters.
Crescent rolls wrapped with turkey and cheese, and pepperoni and cheese.
Grapes and Strawberries,
Cheese and crackers
Jello salad
Veggie Tray
Pretzels
Tea and Pink Lemonade
For the desserts, I made:
Lemon and Grape Jello Cookies
Cupcakes made in mini muffin pans
Vanilla wafers sandwiched with chocolate frosting and rolled in sprinkles
Marshmallows dipped in colored sugars
Pastel candies
This was such a fun, simple way to host a party. The girls got dressed up and enjoyed sipping their tea like ladies. It was special for me to sit back and listen to the conversations going on around the table.
They completed a cute craft after they finished eating, but I’m saving that to show you another day. I’m so thankful for friends who are willing to invest in my life and the life of my kids. A special THANK YOU to Denise for bringing over your beautiful tea cups, saucers, plates, Trays, pots, lacy tablecloths, sugar bowls and creamers, cute sugar cubes, and other lovely tea party supplies.
It is a memory My Princess will not forget!
