Last week I showed you one of the signs I made for the Christmas open house I participated in. The craft show is over now and so I’m eager to show you the rest of the goodies I made and sold.
We made a couple of different reindeer ornaments and this was my favorite of the two. These were made very inexpensively with some wood slices we salvaged when we experienced the Duratio of 2012, and cleaned up 4 acres of trees. I’ve made other ornaments with these wood slices, but these are some of the cutest ones.
I drew the faces on these reindeer with paint pens. You can get as creative as you like. Each of mine took on a different personality as their faces were drawn on.
I used hot glue to attach the little red pom nose. My Better Half went out and found pieces of branches for the antlers and I used hot glue to attach those too.
My Better’s Half’s drill did a perfect job making a hole to attach my twine for hanging.
To make my reindeer a little fancy, a bought this red gingham ribbon. I bought a big roll of it and used it on a lot of crafts for the open house.
I think these are so cute and apparently others thought so too. We sold 12 of these.:)
So, if you’re looking for a fun easy craft to make with the kiddos or just a cute ornament to give as a gift or hang on your tree…this one is perfect!!
Enjoy!!
