My friend asked me to make her a cute little sign for her counter as a reminder. I used the Silhouette to cut out the script for the sign. After getting it cut out I had some scraps of vinyl left and so I looked around for a little project to use them up. That’s when I saw my kitchen canisters with their little pathetic labels from my label maker and knew these could look much better with just a few scraps of vinyl.
Don’t get me wrong, the labels did the job but the new ones just look a lot nicer.
I’ve had these canisters for several years and I like the organization they bring but I really love the pop of red they add to my kitchen.
Using the leftover vinyl to label the canisters worked perfectly. If you have the privilege of having a Silhouette, be sure to make the most of your vinyl. After doing a project, see if there are any little corners that you could get a label or a little sign out of. It can be such a fast inexpensive project, with big results.
The simple task of labeling the canisters with vinyl decals added so much.
I love using organizing items for decor and these canisters with their new labels serve those dual purposes.
The labeled canisters are easy to grab when I’m baking, and are easy to clean up after I’ve made a baking mess.
And of course, their rustic charm fits right into my kitchen.
Happy Organizing!

What a really fabulous idea! For smaller ingredients, I’ve reused jars and just have a bit of chalkboard paint on them. This looks so much better. Of course, your jars themselves are really nice too. Thanks for sharing such a simple, but stunning project.
