I asked my Better Half what to name this post and he said “Lookin’ like a fool with a hole in the wall”. Well, as you can see, it didn’t make the actual title but I’ll give you a hint of how this makeover came to fruition.

MANdatory Hallway Makeover
Plaster is messy and hard to repair…So, we tried to come up with a less time consuming and easier way to fix this hole in the wall.
Don’t you love bead board?? We patched up the hole with drywall and then covered it with bead board. To make the most of our $19 piece of bead board, we had it cut right down the middle at the store. Then we added a piece of scrap MDF and trim to the top of the bead board to give us the height we needed.
Ahhh, so much better! I’m very glad this is fixed…I do however wonder how long it will be before we have another “MAN”datory repair!

I love bead board. It is so fresh looking. It is probably tempting to “accidentally” put in a few more holes so you have an excuse to do more! I found your blog through the sugar bee crafts link party and I’m your newest follower!
