Making Progess on the Entryway

The entryway is coming along beautifully.  It has not been an easy road…remodeling is not usually easy…just in case there was any doubt.
If you missed the beginning of the entryway makeover, it all started because of a very persistent and damaging leak.  Thankfully that has been taken care of and we can now move on to making it beautiful, practical, and useable again.
The taping, spackling, and painting are now complete.

Choosing the color was not an easy task.  I don’t know why I’m so fearful to try a new color.  Oh well, I’m pleased.  I also painted the inside of the front door…I had never painted it!!

, Saving 4 Six

The little chandelier we picked up at ReStore is in place…{LOVE IT}
The beadboard is on the walls and the top trim is up.  Those both still need painted.  We save that for last so we can fill in the nail holes and then paint it all at once.

The snow is falling like crazy here so I’m getting anxious to start using this room again.
The winter coats and boots are taking over the house!

The floor went in without any problems…

, Saving 4 Six

…It is my favorite part so far.

, Saving 4 Six

I am so thankful for the progress. My Better Half took the day off today and worked on the finish work, cabinetry, and shelving.  It’s really coming together!!

Blessings,

LOL, we used the same flooring in our laundry room. I saw your picture and thought, “What?” So great minds think alike. What a great job you’ve done, it looks good!

Looks great so far! Can’t wait to see the finished product! Love the floor:) And I think the door being painted is a nice touch. We have done a lot of remodeling in our home the past few years, recently our kitchen and I know how you feel about wanting the project to just be over!!

Looks good! Can’t wait to see the after photos. I like the color you used on the walls, what color is it? I too am fearful of new colors and plan to paint a room in our house in that color range, but it will have to wait until after the Holidays.
    Thanks for sharing, Jules

Love the flooring, adore your beadboard walls, and second your paint choice. It’s looking great and is getting me jealous since I don’t have a mudroom at all.
