One thing I love about where I live is that it is only about 5 minutes from where my sister lives. This is SO nice. Our kiddos have grown up together and we have grown older together. Once a week I head over to her house, leave the kiddos behind and head off to the grocery store to shop for the week ahead. Occasionally, we’ll hit a drive-thru along the way and grab a bite to eat, but usually, we just head out to shop. One of our stops is always Giant Eagle. It’s so convenient to my house…I have one within 5 minutes either way! Both my sister and I come prepared for our shopping trip with lists in hand, however, we still love to browse the aisles, especially for all the festive foods and snacks for this time of year.
My aisle browsing led me to this pretty amazing end-cap, celebrating Fall Flavor Fest.
And don’t we love to celebrate the flavors of fall??!! I grabbed a bottle of Giant Eagle Orange Spice Cider, a couple of bags of Nature’s Basket Sweet Potato Pumpkin Tortilla Chips, and I could not pass up trying out Nature’s Basket Ginger Snap Granola.
I took these three special fall ingredients and mixed them with some other pantry ingredients and came up with a delicious Orange Spice Apple Cider Dip that goes PERFECTLY with Nature’s Basket Sweet Potato Pumpkin Tortilla Chips.
Here’s how you make the dip:
In a small saucepan, reduce the Orange Spice Apple Cider on medium heat until 1/2 cup because 1/4 cup. This took about 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until creamy. Add in brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla and continue mixing until well combined.
Slowly add in the reduced Orange Spice Apple Cider and combine. The dip can be served immediately or if you want it to be a little thicker, refrigerate for an hour or until ready to serve.
I topped my dip with some tasty Nature’s Basket Ginger Snap Granola. It added a crunchy, sweet element that went very well with the dip.
Now the final touch to this deliciousness was dipping the Nature’s Basket Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips in the dip. I’ve already told you about my love of the sweet and salty combination and this new recipe really hits the spot!
So, run out to Giant Eagle and check out their Celebrate Fall Flavor Fest finds. From baked goods and ice cream to pasta and spreads, I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll love!

I love reading about your grocery shopping with your sister – I used to shop with my sister all the time and it’s one of my best memories of her and I in adulthood. I always gravitate towards fall displays in stores, so I would not doubt make a stop at that one too. Such a creative way to use the Giant Eagle cider! #client
